The tiziu is a passerine bird in the Thraupidae family.
Also known as tizirro, jumper, velor, papa-rice, pile-driver (Rio de Janeiro), sawyer, saw-saw and tailor.Its scientific name means: from (Latin) volatinia diminutive of volatus = flight, small flight; and do (tupi) jacarini = the one that flies up and down.
